|UBS Quant Funds|
- UBS Quant Funds are managed solely in accordance with quantitative criteria
- Portfolio management is based on modern financial models
- The resulting potential returns are therefore unaffected by subjective factors
UBS Quant Funds are the youngest category to join UBS's comprehensive fund mix and represent a new type of portfolio enhancer. The main difference between UBS Quant Funds and traditional products managed according to the price/value approach is the method used to make investment decisions. UBS has developed a proprietary mathematical, ¿quantitative¿ model, which can be used to define, combine and process a number of variables (economic and corporate data).
This new method of generating added value is, of course, also an advantage for our investment clients. As a result of their different investment approach, UBS Quant Funds are ideal for combining with other strategies in order to improve a portfolio's overall efficiency over the long term.
UBS Quant Funds are available both with an equity orientation (Equity) and as a very actively managed yield-curve strategy (Quantitative Duration Strategy).
Additional fees (e.g. entry or exit fees) may be charged by the Distributor. Please refer to your financial adviser for more details. For a definition of financial terms refer to the glossary available at www.ubs.com/glossary
